How to Play

Everything you need to field a lineup and climb the leaderboard.

The idea

Bar-to-Bar Fantasy Racing is a free fan game. Before each race you draft a small roster of real American Flat Track riders, then earn points based on how they actually finish on race day. The best season-long total wins bragging rights.

Getting started

Sign in with your email — we send a one-time magic link, so there’s no password to remember. The first time in, you’ll pick a username; that’s the name other players see on the leaderboard.

Building your lineup

For each event you pick 3 riders, and their combined price has to fit under a $30,000 salary cap. Faster, more consistent riders cost more, so the game is about balancing star power against value picks that leave you cap room.

  • You submit one lineup per event.
  • You can change your picks as often as you like until lineups lock — a set time just before the first session. After lock, your lineup is frozen for that event.
  • If you’re over the cap or haven’t picked three riders, you can’t submit — the builder keeps you honest.

How scoring works

Each race weekend runs three scoring sessions: Heat 1, Heat 2, and the Main Event. Every one of your riders earns points based on where they finish in each session they run, and those points stack up across the weekend.

Main Event

1st — 23 pts
2nd — 19
3rd — 16
4th — 14
5th — 13
then 12, 11, 10, 9, 8… down to 1 pt

Each Heat

1st — 10 pts
2nd — 8
3rd — 7
4th — 6
5th — 5
then 4, 3, 2, 1… down to 1 pt

The field splits across the two heats, so a rider only scores in the heat they actually run — plus the Main, where everyone lines up together. Your score for the weekend is the combined points of all three of your riders across every session they raced.

The leaderboard

Your season total is the sum of your scores from every completed event. The leaderboard updates as soon as an event’s results are posted, and you can open any past round to see how everyone’s lineup did that weekend.

A note on the rider pool

Flat track fields change from round to round — riders jump in and out and don’t run every event. So the list of riders you can draft may look different week to week depending on who’s entered.
